Look Ma, I'm Dancin'

1948 Hugh Martin's musical comedy "Look Ma, I'm Dancin'" starring Nancy Walker and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, opens at Adelphi Theater, NYC; runs for 188 performances

  • 1964 NBC purchases AFL 5 year (1965-69) TV rights for $36 million

Sweet Charity

1966 Neil Simon, Cy Coleman, and Dorothy Fields' musical "Sweet Charity", starring Gwen Verdon, and directed by Bob Fosse, opens at the Palace Theater, NYC for 608 performances, winning a Tony Award for choreogrphy
